Hello!   My name is Erin Riker. I’m a writer, editor, and designer — a corporate escapee making my own way in the freelance world.

I write about the things that inspire me most in my creative pursuits and the lessons I learn on this journey to create an authentic and meaningful life. I firmly believe that “any job can be done more creatively and any life can be lived more creatively.” Inspiration is everywhere!

Not so long ago, I worked as an editor at a major publishing company. It was my “dream job” and I wanted to love it, but something was missing. I was miserable. And that misery was sucking the life right out of me.

And so. . . I took a leap of faith, left my job in publishing, and struck out on my own.

Most days, I’m glad to have left the land of cubicles. BUT now I’m self-employed and a little overwhelmed by all the possibilities! I may be freelancing, but really, I’m still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
