…to travel the world for the rest of my life but still be back each night with my wonderful husband in our wonderful little home.
…to build the perfect library with a rolling ladder that stretches toward the rafters of our 14 foot ceiling and a cozy nook where I can slip away inside a book.
…to feel everyday the thrill of standing on a cliff by the ocean, wind rushing through me, with nothing but horizon before me and rugged countryside behind, and know that anything is possible.
…to write stories that open windows to imagination and show the common soul of humanity in everyday life; that juxtapose the beautiful and the awful truths of our existence; that explore moments where one small decision can make all the difference.
…laugh lines around my eyes and as many memorable scars as I can handle. I want to play my piano more often and trade in my car for a zippy little Vespa. I want a house bunny that can be best buds with our dog Snuppie. I want to speak German, take up ballroom dancing, and learn to kayak (again).
And I hope I never get to the end of my “to do” list.
